The Co-op uses its branches across the country to help connect with people and projects in the area. The Co-op Community Fund was created to help provide support and funding to local causes.

When you buy selected Co-op products and services, 2p for every £1 you spend goes into your Co-op Membership account. The Co-op will also give the same amount to support community organisations and local causes.

Since 2016 Co-op members have helped raise £117 million which has been used to support around 7 million people across the UK.

The Mullion & Rosudgeon Co-op has now announced the three local causes they will be supporting this year.

The Rosudgeon Junior Cricket is looking to buy equipment for its coaching sessions so that young people looking to get involved in cricket don't have to buy the equipment to join in.

Mullion Community Primary School can no longer use the outside area of the school due to restrictions in place because of the poor conditions the area is in. They hope to get work done so it can be an interactive learning space for the pupils.

Cadgwith Pilot Gig club would like to buy a new gig and oars so that they can provide enough equipment for their members. There has been an increased demand in the area especially with under 18's.

Last year the Mullion & Rosudgeon Co-op membership helped raise money for three great local causes:

£2,204.26 was raised for Mullion Girl Guides who wanted to provide access to outdoor activities for their guides which is vital for improving young people's mental health.

£2,552.08 was raised for Mullion Sunshine Café, they hold fortnightly gatherings for their members that face money problems. They provide activities and experienced therapists to support the community.

£3,319.1 was raised for The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station which provides a Lifeboat service, lifeguards on local beaches, and education designed to prevent tragedies around the coast.
