Tomorrow the Co-op will be holding a Time to Talk event at the Old Inn, in Mullion. This will give people the chance to have a cup of tea or coffee with a slice of cake and chat.

Time to Talk is a UK-wide campaign to get people talking to friends, family, or colleagues about mental health. In England, Time to Talk Day is run by Rethink Mental Illness and Mind in partnership with the Co-op.

The event will be run by your Mullion & Rosudgeon Member Pioneer Joanne Lewis who shared this message on her Co-op Facebook group (Follow the link):

"One in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year.

"We want everyone to feel comfortable talking about mental health – whenever they like. Talking about mental health reduces stigma, helping to create supportive communities where we can talk openly about mental health and feel empowered to seek help when we need it.

"That's why opening up the conversation about mental health problems is so important – by talking about it we can support ourselves and others

"Please come and join us at The Old Inn at Mullion Wednesday 1st February where there will be hot drinks, cake, and most importantly a chat."

Co-op membership helps support local causes and the Co-op's national charity partners. See Co-op Membership to find out more or become a Co-op Member.
